A 27-year-old man was shot in the head and killed during a fight along a busy strip of popular Times Square bars early Tuesday, police said.
The gunman blasted the victim as he lingered near the Tonic Bar at Seventh Ave. at 48th St. around 4 a.m., as the tourist watering hole closed for the night, cops said.
Startled witnesses dropped their personal belongings, including a purse to escape the deadly chaos. The victim was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he died.
Police said the suspect bolted and was last seen wearing a black skull cap and black jacket.
Photos show police crowding around Tonic Bar, where the victim was believed to have partied before the shooting. A man who answered the phone at the Midtown bar declined to comment when asked about the shooting.
“I gotta go,” he said, before hanging up.
The victim was not immediately identified and it's unclear what sparked the deadly beef.
