A young man who summoned up courage to go and allegedly steal from an electricity transformer, has regretted his decision after he was severely burned.

It was gathered that he was trying to steal oil from a street transformer yesterday morning but got burnt in the process while using his phone as touch light...

He has been taken away by the police for treatment and prosecution.
