President Trump praises his late mom on Mother’s Day, but totally ignores Melania

President Trump had plenty of kind words for his own mom on Mother's Day, but he conspicuously failed to mention any of the mothers of his children.

In a 90-second video on Twitter, Trump spoke fondly of Mary MacLeod Trump.

"She was just incredible," he said. "Warm, loving, really smart, could be tough if she had to be, but basically she was a really nice person. So much of what I've done and so much of what I've become is because of my mother."

Mary MacLeod Trump, who was born in Scotland in 1912, moved to the United States in 1930 and met Fred Trump shortly after. The two were married in 1936 and their first child, Maryanne, was born a year later. She died in 2000 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, a year after her husband.

Absent from Trump's Mother's Day message was any acknowledgment of Ivana, Melania or Marla Maples, the mothers of his children.

Melania did post a photo of a bouquet of pale pink roses on Instagram, although it's unclear if they're from her husband, who spent the day at Trump National Golf Course in Potomac Falls, Va., according to a White House pool report.

By comparison, former President Obama, Vice President Pence and Donald Trump Jr. all celebrated their wives on social media.
