Manhattan lawyer keeps big mouth shut after racist restaurant rant goes viral

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Big-mouthed bigot Aaron Schlossberg suddenly has nothing to say.
Big-mouthed bigot Aaron Schlossberg is suddenly saying nada.
The unwitting star of a viral video, in which he delivered a racist rant in a Midtown restaurant, emerged Thursday from his Manhattan apartment without any comment on his sudden notoriety.
Schlossberg, 42, wore a black ski cap, blue suit, white shirt and a striped tie as he hid behind an umbrella for about 10 minutes while ignoring questions from reporters.
The attorney, who received national scorn for his crude commentary, did call the police after accusing a Daily News reporter and photographer of harassment.
"They're yelling, they're claiming things that aren't true," Schlossberg said as he cowered behind a black and red umbrella. "They're grabbing my personal items. ... Defaming me. I can't even move, because they're blocking me."
It was a drastic departure from his frothing attack on Spanish speakers during the Tuesday lunch hour inside the Fresh Kitchen restaurant on Madison Ave.

A video shot by a customer captured the lawyer berating the manager after overhearing a conversation in Spanish between a customer and an employee.
Workers said the attorney swore at them and then threatened to call federal immigration authorities to deport the employees — assuming all were undocumented.
"So my next call is to (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to have each one of them kicked out of my country," barked Schlossberg in a video that quickly went viral.
"If they have the balls to come here and live off my money — I pay for their welfare, I pay for their ability to live here. The least they can do is speak English."
Schlossberg disappeared Wednesday as he became the target of widespread anger for his hateful diatribe. Thousands of web posters from coast to coast left one-star reviews for his law firm and angry denunciations of the lawyer.

On Thursday morning, the attorney finally climbed into a yellow cab on W. 60th St. and drove away.
Schlossberg's destination was unclear, but security at the Madison Ave. building where the attorney keeps an office said he was barred from entering.
"If he comes here, we're going to kick him out," said one member of building security.
Schlossberg, who videotaped his bizarre interactions with the media Thursday morning, insisted his access to the building was not revoked.
"False," he snapped. "False."
