It is so heart breaking to see people who once kissed each other, hugged each other, cherished each other, adored each other, cared for each other; fight and exchange fist, which may possibly lead to the death of one.
Domestic violence has torn down many homes, it has broken many relationships that had for years been the envy of many. Many have died from it. Death from domestic violence doesn't always happen with respect to who is stronger and who is weaker; the weaker partner sometimes end up killing the stronger partner.
You must argue. In fact, if you don't argue, your relationship is not healthy, but exchanging fist, physical fighting, inflicting injuries, and causing death of your partner are so not right. Here are what to do when it seems like fighting is the only option :
1. Remove revenge from your mind. After taking a revenge, you don't really get satisfied, you only feel regret. After having revenge, you still want them, you still love them, you still care for them, what's the point in taking revenge?
2. Drop your fist, drop your
gun, drop your weapons. They are never the best options. They solve nothing.
3. Have you considered silence? If you haven't, try using it next time you feel like punching your partner.
4. What about walking away? Most times, when you return after walking away for a while, you meet a different and better partner.
5. Cook if you are to cook. Being angry is not always a good reason to leave your partner hungry. If you got kids, learn not to transfer the aggression on them. No one should go hungry because you are hungry.
6. You must eat. Yes, eat! Don't sleep on empty stomach, you will only wake up looking more angry.
7. Most importantly, don't remain in a relationship in which you are always a victim of domestic violence. A love that gives physical injuries has potentials of leading to death.
