Donald Trump sais that he will bail out on a meeting with Kim Jong Un if he decides it won't produce results.
On second thought.
President Donald Trump, who recently said he would be "honored' to meet with North Korea leader Kim Jong Un is now telling reporters that he will bail out of if he decides it won't produce results.
While discussing the possible sitdown during a joint news conference Wednesday alongside Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Trump said he could end up leaving the meeting with Jong Un early — or just passing all together.
POTUS did sound optimistic that a summit would prove worthwhile.
In the meantime, Trump said a U.S.-led "maximum pressure" campaign of tough economic sanctions on North Korea will continue until the isolated nation "denuclearizes."
Abe agreed, adding there should be no reward for responding to dialogue.
