Cops Taser man accused of touching woman on American flight

A Chicago man was caught on video getting Tasered by police officers after allegedly touching a female passenger on board an American Airlines flight in Florida Sunday night.
Jacob Garcia, 28, got into an altercation with another passenger who told authorities Garcia had been touching his girlfriend inappropriately on the flight en route from Miami to Chicago, a Miami-Dade police spokeswoman told NBC News.
The plane was at the gate when crew members asked Garcia to get out but he refused, American Airlines said in a statement.

He then became combative with law enforcement, the airlines said.
Garcia repeatedly asked Miami Dade officers why he was being removed, shocking video taken by a passenger shows.

“Well, you just assaulted a lady, for one,” a person said off-camera.
Garcia continued struggling with the officers before one of them pulled out his stun gun and repeatedly shocked him while another tried to restrain him, video shows. He was Tasered for several minutes but the shocks did not seem to affect him.

He also tried to take one of the officers' guns but was unsuccessful during the confrontation, the police spokeswoman told NBC.
American Airlines said the flight was scheduled to depart at 9:30 p.m. but ended up taking off at 10:34 p.m.
Garcia was taken into custody at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He’s charged with battery, depriving an officer of a firearm and disorderly conduct.
