A 48-year-old construction worker was struck by lightning on Long Island Monday morning, Suffolk police said.
The victim was alert when police arrived at the scene — and was able to describe to them what had happened. He was then taken to Southside Hospital for treatment.
Police said the man was outside the business where he works — Roman Stone Construction Co., in Bay Shore — when he was hit by lightning about 10:15 a.m.
