Man jumps out car driven by drunk girlfriend, gets fatally struck

A man jumped out of a moving car on a Queens highway to escape his drunken-driving girlfriend — only to be struck and killed by another car early Saturday, cops said.

The 30-year-old victim was riding east in a black 2015 Mercedes-Benz on the Grand Central Parkway in Little Neck when he managed to get out of the slow moving car near Little Neck Parkway about 4 a.m.

Police believe he got out of the car to get away from his 32-year-old girlfriend, who was driving drunk, sources said.

The victim had just gotten out of the car when he was struck by a black Nissan Sentra also traveling east.

Medics rushed the victim to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he died, cops said. His name was not immediately released.

Both his girlfriend and the Sentra driver remained at the scene, police said.

The girlfriend was taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving. Charges against her were pending.

The 39-year-old man who was driving the Nissan faces no immediate charges, cops said.
