A rookie police officer committed suicide inside her Brooklyn home Monday, police sources said.
The 24-year-old cop, who joined the NYPD in 2016, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head inside her house on Troutman St. near Bushwick Ave. in Bushwick about 12:30 p.m.
Sources said the officer, who was off-duty, shot herself after a domestic dispute, and was having personal problems.
Dozens of grieving cops from different precincts gathered outside the home, shaking hands and sharing hugs.
The police officer’s name wasn’t immediately released.
“I knew it when I heard that it had to be something relationship related,” said one family friend, who didn’t give her name. “That’s the only thing that might drive someone to do that.”
The officer joined the NYPD after graduating from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, sources said.
One neighbor, Eric Ortiz, said she moved to the block as a child with her family.

“This is the type of thing you would never think happens just because of who they were or how they were on the block,” he said.
Another neighbor spotted her heading to a nearby gym Monday morning.
“I wanted to beep my horn to say hello. That was the last time I saw her. Now I wish I would have stopped,” the neighbor said.
Her death is at least the third apparent suicide by an NYPD officer this year.
On Jan. 13, Sgt. Joseph Pizzarro, 35, was found dead of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a room at the Hilton Garden Inn on Staten Island.
Roughly two weeks later, on Jan. 28, Detective Nicholas Budney shot himself at Billy Joe’s Ribworks, a restaurant and music venue overlooking the Hudson River in Orange County.
