These shells are stuffed with lead.
A gunman blasted several bullet holes into the facade of a famed mob-tied Brooklyn restaurant early Sunday.
The gunman let loose several rounds at Marco Polo Ristorante on Court St. at Union St. in Carroll Gardens at 6 a.m. — long after the restaurant had closed for the night, police said.
An employee who arrived at 9 a.m. saw the damage, and called the cops.
Police said they found bullet fragments inside, and no damage to nearby businesses, leading investigators to believe the Marco Polo was targeted.
The restaurant, with two bullet holes visible in the facade, was open for business Sunday night. Employees refused to comment about the new ventilation.

In 2008, restaurant owner Joseph (Marco Polo) Chirico, a reputed Gambino soldier, was busted in a sweeping mob indictment.
He was accused of passing $1,500 in tribute money from a mob associate to another Gambino soldier, but he wound up with a slap on the wrist — six months of house arrest for money laundering and permission to spend 10 hours a day at his restaurant.
Then-Borough President Marty Markowitz and his predecessor, Howard Golden, wrote letters of support on his behalf.
In 2014, Borough Hall celebrated him for a good act — he used his connections in Italy to help bring an exhibition of medieval texts from the life of St. Francis of Assisi to Brooklyn.
Chirico and his son Marco, who co-owns the restaurant, didn’t return messages seeking comment Sunday.
