Wendy Williams said she’s ‘sick of this #MeToo movement’

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Wendy Williams made some controversial comments about the #MeToo movement.
The talk show host discussed the movement during her “Hot Topics” segment of “Wendy” on Thursday morning.
Williams, 53, brought up the topic after mentioning a grassroots movement aimed at moving R. Kelly from the music industry.
“What is this 10 years too late,” she questioned.

She went on to explain that the #MeToo movement didn’t affect R. Kelly because she wasn’t a MeToo, noting Aliyah voluntarily married him when she was a teenager and she also recalled his infamous tape of him peeing on a young woman.
“This has nothing to do with #MeToo, R. Kelly is just a very, very sick man.”

“I'm sick of this #MeToo movement,” she then said around 15 minutes into the video, which was unrelated to her discussion about Pamela Anderson dating a younger man.
“I love that people are speaking up for the first time and speaking out and everything, but now it's got, I look at all men like you're a #MeToo, all of them, all of them, which is not fair,” Williams explained.
“And they're asking everybody at the Grammys to wear a white rose to support the #MeToo,” she continued as the crowd applauded.
