You snooze, you lose.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross could be on the White House chopping block for sleeping on the job, according to reports Sunday.
The 80-year-old ex-Wall Street mogul has fallen out of President Trump’s favor for botching trade deals and using some meetings for shut-eye, Axios reported.
A Politico reporter corroborated Ross’ penchant for slumber, citing a source that said he is also a drooler.
The dopey cabinet member uses his tie to clean up the slobbery mess, the source said.
Axios reports Ross is unable to keep his eyes open after 11 a.m.
“Wilbur has lost his step,” the news outlet reported Trump as telling a source. “Actually, he’s probably lost a lot of steps.”
Trump swapped Ross for U.S. Trade Rep. Robert Lighthizer for recent negotiations after he fumbled talks with the Chinese, the report reads.
“Your understanding of trade is terrible. Your deals are no good. No good,” Trump told the W.L. Ross & Co. founder last year after one such fail.
