KEEPING UP WITH THE KARDASHIANS: KHLOE KARDASHIAN GETTING GUN FOR PROTECTION

On Sunday’s new episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Khloe Kardashian and   Kendall Jenner considered getting guns for protection. Meanwhile, Kim had difficulty taking care of her rambunctious new puppy. Get the full recap below!

Early in the show, Kendall explained to Khloe that stalkers show up to her house every single day. She further noted in a confessional that thousands of dollars worthy of jewelry were stolen from her home earlier in the year. Khloe said she can relate to not always feeling safe in her own home.

Later, Kim introduced Kris to her and Kourtney’s new puppies, one of which was for Kim’s daughter North, and the other for Kourtney’s daughter Penelope. Unfortunately for Kim, her dog ended up being a big barker, while the other was calm and reserved. “She’s being so yappy and so loud, and Kourtney’s dog is quiet as a mouse,” Kim complained. Kim later told her assistant she wanted to swap dogs with Kourtney without her noticing. “No one would ever know which is which,” she said of the identical looking pups. Kim later successfully switched the dogs while visiting Kourtney’s house.

Later, Kendall told Khloe she was considering purchasing a gun for protection. While browsing online for options, Khloe noted, “You have to hold them and test them and see what feels most comfortable in your grip.” Kim then entered the room and asked her sisters what they were doing, and was shocked to discover they were looking at guns. “Kendall and I were talking earlier and she just feels really unsafe,” Khloe explained. “She says she has literally a different stalker outside of her house every few days. She’s a single girl who lives alone. Someone’s already broken into her home, what if she was there?”

Kim, an advocate for gun safety laws, shot back, “Well, that’s what you have security for. But Khloe noted that security systems aren’t always reliable, as was the case with Kim’s Paris robbery. “In your situation, say you were able to get access to a gun, would you know what to do?” Khloe asked. But Kim didn’t think a gun would have helped in a situation with multiple robbers involved. “I would not shoot,” she said. “There was no way I was gonna get out of there. I’m not like, Lara Croft.” She added, “I’m not comfortable with it. I wouldn’t want my kids around it. I wouldn’t want sleepovers going on here, with the kids here and I know there’s a gun.”

At Kourtney’s house, she started noticing that her dog was barking more than usual. “Why are you barking so much? Stop it!” she exclaimed. Scott Disick added, “This dog is a pain in the ass. I’ve never seen it act like this.” Kourtney then noticed that the dog looked “lighter and fluffier and bigger,” and she realized Kim had swapped out the pups. “Call Kim and get our dog back!” yelled Scott. Kim first denied taking the dog, but then admitted that she switched them and pressured Kourtney to keep the other dog, but her sister wasn’t having it.

Meanwhile, Khloe and Kendall visited a gun range to taste out different weapons. “We want to learn how to be comfortable with a gun,” Khloe explained to the owner of the range. “Kendall’s been robbed before and we just want to protect ourselves.” She added in a confessional, “I know Kim is so against us getting guns, but for Kendall and I, it’s something we feel we need to do in order to sleep better at night,” Khloe reveals. “I think Kim will respect it more if she sees later how much work and effort and responsibility we put into this.”

The range’s owner then began demonstrating how to safely handle a firearm before showing them the proper grip and stance. Khloe began shooting targets without difficulty, but Kendall was a bit more timid. “I can’t believe Khloe jumps into this and is so comfortable,” Kendall said in a confessional. She then started hiding behind a wall as Khloe shot her weapon like a pro.

When Kourtney arrived at Kim’s house to get her dog back, her sister refused to give up the animal without a fight. “Where is my dog? This is not funny anymore,” said Kourtney, who pleaded with her sister to return the pooch. “All your dog does is bark all day,” Kourtney told her sister, who responded, “I know, yours is so much more calm. I swear she likes me better now. She’s like, adjusted. Look how calm she is. You’re not getting her back!” Kourtney began chasing her sister around the kitchen in attempt to retrieve her pet. “It’s Penelope’s, it’s not yours!” Kim finally agreed to return Kourtney’s dog, adding in a confessional, “Whatever, I guess she can have her dog back and I will just have to deal with the barking forever.”

Kendall and Khloe later informed Kim that they took a course in gun safety, but decided against keeping guns in their own homes. Khloe added, “I think the answer is not to add more guns into the world… No matter how informed or how much practice we’ve had, accidents can happen. I’d rather leave the guns to our security team.” Kim agreed it was better to let their professional security team handle the guns, but added, “It’s really sad that this is what we have to think about.”

Kim later employed the services of “The Dog Whisperer” Cesar Milan to help train her dog not to bark. The dog behavioral therapist taught Kim several tricks to get the dog to calm down and behave. “Her issues are fixable. She’s just a part of the family now, so we have to work on it,” Kim concluded in a confessional.
